Flight prayer request
« on: April 20, 2014, 01:50:21 am »
I'm leaving my in-laws to go home today, and I'm terrified about the flight. I had a really dreadful flight on the way here, where they moved my seat to the middle of the plane (I always try to sit near the front and near the toilet), because "We put disabled passengers in row 23 and that's the policy so don't argue", and then I couldn't get to the toilet for six hours, and was also stuck in a window seat so that I couldn't get up to move around at all, and ended up in terrible pain for half of the flight. I've also been abandoned (flightside) without a wheelchair at this airport in the past, and on other occasions they've taken the wheelchair away from me half way through the airport because they needed it for someone else (the curse of having to check your mobility aid), and other awfulness.

Anyway, I'd really appreciate prayers for a comfortable and easy flight where they don't treat me like dirt and refuse to meet my needs. It sounds like a silly thing, but to me it could mean days in bed recovering, and a traumatic flight on the Asperger's level in the process. So any prayers etc that anyone could send would be so appreciated. Leaving at 8am EST, and also changing planes later in the day.

You got it, Nay! Sending chilled out traveling energy to you.

I find flying to be quite problematic for myself and I don't even have a physical disability to complicate the matter. I truly hope everything goes smoothly for you.

Sending prayers.

Thanks so much for the prayers, all.  It was stressful but could have been a lot worse -  they didn't break my wheelchair (or me), or forget me on the plane, and I managed to stay calm!
