11/11 Remembrance Day

Today is Remembrance Day and I have been asked to post a thread.

Please spare a thought for all those lost in the first World War, and in all the wars since- maybe one day we'll all evolve enough to settle our differences in some other way that doesn't involve people dying because of them.....

It's Veteran's Day in the US -- the day we honor those who fought in all our wars.

I'd like to honor my maternal grandfather Bill Peters who was a sailor in WW2 and was present at Pearl Harbor. He himself didn't die in battle but many of his close friends did. He was an incredible man and loved his family dearly.

Will definitely remember those brave men and women. Also want to personally thank the men and women who serve my country and help maintain my freedoms!

I did not see this until today, but thank you for posting it.

I am in awe of all those that have laid down their lives for freedom as well as all those past and present that have lived through the horror of war and bear the scars both physically and mentally of their service.
