Those who mistakenly believe I will skin their rabbits, dogs, cats and geese alive, boil their babies in my cauldron at dusk and eat them for breakfast at Dawn, and cavort with their Husbands in some Satanic led orgy all night...

Those (Christians) who believe I need to be saved...
and the JW's who call at my door and run away when they see all the Pagan symbols hanging in my hallway...
and anyone who believes I need converting to some other cult...

plus the bicca and bitchcraft I have encountered amongst those who argue about Paganism like there's only their way or the highway,
and haters of folks whose beliefs might be a little different or "out there,"
and forum trolls who expect everyone to feel intimidated by their petty attempts to sound superior...

and, yep, the pentacle/star of David error too...
It's all about the Ebb and Flow...

    ALL OF THESE!!!

Okay, I'm sure this was mentioned already, quite possibly by me, but I was reminded of it so I'm reposting the rant. The whole Law of Attraction stuff from The Secret.

Does no one seem to realize this is blaming the victim? It's basically saying they deserved what they got/get. Really? REALLY?! Okay, first off: there is no way to know if that's true or not from a karma/reincarnation aspect.

Sometimes bad shit just happens. I'm not sure there is always a good explanation for why said thing happened, but we humans seem to need to make one, and say it's true even if it's bullshit. Case and point: sex assault victims that believe they did something to cause it to happen to them, while this is common, it's still bullshit.

And no, if I just think happy thoughts and sit on the couch all day wishing everyone well does NOT mean that it will all work out with no further effort! As for the a-holes that sell all the products on this and want my money (or someone I care about's money) if you are so sure, then stop asking us to make your dream manifest. SHUT UP STUPID!

I'll give you that having a positive outlook and treating people well does have it's rewards, but quit promising things you cannot deliver to people that are in a vulnerable state of mind. You're being a predator and don't have the decency (or is it honesty?) to notice. Sorry to bust your glitter-balloon. Go back to selling used cars.

And no, I'm not saying wallow in misery either, I'm just saying let's get honest with things for a moment, shall we?

People assuming that because I am 'pagan', I am also liberal. My religion has nothing to so with my politics.

Go ahead. I'm tentatively calling it "Mel's Law of Dark Fluffs."
