Elvis Surgery: Prayers and good thoughts for Friday morning

Elvis began having some issues late Tuesday, and by this morning, they were to the point I felt that it was time to call Dr. Walthall and see when she wanted to schedule his hernia surgery. Since the straining and urge to potty is happening again, it's enlarging the hernia, and that's not good.

So I started him on Clindamycin (150 mg 2 times a day), and he'll go in for surgery tomorrow morning at 11:00. Like the dental back late last year, I'll be there when he goes under and when he comes to. That should help stave off some of the panic. He'll also be neutered at the same time.



So say some prayers for out little stumpy fella. We know it's possible he won't make it through the surgery because of his medical condition, but since he is in MUCH better shape than he was two years ago, I feel pretty good about it. Still, thoughts and prayers that it's an uneventful surgery and speedy recovery will be welcome.

I'm worried, but you know me: I worry. It's a really complex surgery and he has so many medical problems. But he has a very good medical team.
