I tried clearing the cookies for ecauldron.com and ecauldron.net, and trying to go to the latter still leads to the same error.

For the record, I get the same error in Chrome and Firefox, but not in Pale Moon (a custom Firefox rebuild).

Been getting the error for a while on Chrome.

I'm getting that too.

I only have Chrome so can't check on other browsers.

And, I just got this too, using Safari on my Mac lappy.

I backbuttoned and tried again, and it worked fine this time. So from my perspective, so far, it's just one of those little hiccups that happen from time to time - it's a rare day on which I don't do the 'backbutton, retry' dance at least once on one or the other machine. The information highway has many potholes.

It appears to be a problem/bug/change with Wordpress 3.9. I can fix it be redirecting www.ecauldron.com to ecauldron.com. However, this breaks the message board which needs to be at www.ecauldron.com/forum instead of ecauldron.com/forum for logins to work (as I just discovered). There is no near-term fix. If you suddenly cannot log in to the forum or logged in on some pages but not on other forum pages, my attempt to fix things got in your browser cache, clear it and the forum will work again (but not the web site). You can go to the website with http://ecauldron.com/ (note the lack of a www) and it should work.

See the post I just made. Clear your browser cache to fix forum login issues my failed attempt to fix the web site issues caused.

I saw it. I did it. It didn't really help; I still have a case of 'signed in on some pages but not others'.

ETA: Since I seem to be able to kick it until it sees me, and since I've already done a full forum read today, I'm just gonna ignore it for now. If I run into issues tomorrow, I'll try clearing my cache again and see what happens.

Log out of the forum. Close all the windows for your browser (that is close your browser completely, so it is not even running in the background for Chrome, etc). Restart your browser. Clear the cache. Close your browser completely. Restart and try the forum.

I didn't have to go that far (though if I run into more trouble, I will); I backbuttoned right to the Apple startpage (which I'm still using as a homepage), and followed my usual 'as if I'd just started my browser' procedures, and seem to be fine.

That was my sure to work no matter what solution. I find it is easier to just go to that if a simple "clear your cache" doesn't work instead of leading people through 3 or 4 increasing more detailed methods.
