Favorite Discworld books?
I want to read more of Discworld, but my normal method of starting with the first and reading chronologically did not work particularly well. I can't recall offhand the name of the first Discworld novel, but I do remember not liking it much.
So far I've read Small Gods and Pyramids; I liked the former quite a bit, and liked the latter well enough.
So, what are your favorites?"I don't go anywhere without my mutated anthrax! 'Fer duck huntin." - Futurama

Re: Favorite Discworld books?
I think The Color of Magic was the first book, IIRC, and I didn't care for it much either. Never read Pyramids, but I enjoyed Small Gods too.
I like the books that involve Death and his granddaughter Susan with Hogfather and Thief of Time tying for my favorite. I'm also very fond of the books that center around the Discworld witches with The Tiffany Aching series (Wee Free Men, A Hat Full of Sky, and Wintersmith) coming in as my #1 choice.

Re: Favorite Discworld books?
I am going to say that Hogfather is my favorite but it is more fun to read around the Holiday Season (since it satirizes various Christmas tropes)...or at least it is to me since I want to make it a personal tradition to re-read it every year around that time.
Other than that, the entire Death sub-series (which Hogfather is apart of) is my favorite. Yeah, I know. Surprise, surprise.
