Pagan Stereotypes You Embrace?

So we often talk about pagan stereotypes that we dislike, but what about the things we embrace?

For example, I love every cheesy witchy thing about Halloween. I own one of those "witch flew into the wall" decorations that I hang on the front door of my house. I think it's fun.

What pagan stereotypes do you proudly embrace?

Black and orange are my favourite colors, I want to get a black cat (I'll name him Vashta Nerada), I wear stripy socks, I love wearing thick eyeliner, I'm...pretty goth, Halloween is my favourite holiday, and I hug trees.

Oh, and I cackle. And make gingerbread houses. And eat children.

I am another Halloweoenie girl. I love all decorations of that time of the year, I love the bats and black cats and witch hats motifs everywhere you look- i love the marathons of halloween movies on TV... it's like for a time the town dresses up according my taste and I love it. I always shop for a little decorative something  like a pumpkin candleholder.

Also... the tree-hugging thing - being in tune with the land and seeing the magical side to the nature is something I value very much.

I do love cats. Whenever I see one I always perk up and squeal "KITTY!" Even in the middle of a conversation about guns. I have a massive soft spot for all things cute and fuzzy.

Other than the cats, I don't fulfill many general pagan stereotypes, but I do fulfill almost every stereotype about norse pagans with glee (foul-mouthed, stubborn, politically conservative, a love of meat, weapons, and alcohol, the list goes on).

As has been said, the whole Samhain thing, I wear the long black skirts and the gothy stripey socks all year around...but on the 31st October, I go overboard with the decorations and the spooky music.. handing out lots of treats...:)

I also do the hippy thing of tree hugging, walking barefoot on the grass, and talking to my plants to encourage them to grow and give me the blessing of lots of yummy food to eat... I go around thanking them when they do...  and love Wassailing to them every Imbolc so they awake and continue the quest every Spring..

My home is full of ornaments of the fairy kind and dragons and gargoyles and bats, there are crystals and witch balls and dark mirrors and all that kind of stuff in every nook and cranny... my altar stays set up all year around ready for the next Sabbat due, and my besom lives across the back door keeping any would-be burglars out...

I don't just talk the talk, even if that does make me stereo-typical :) then so mote it be..

Add another to the list of Halloween fanatics- love the whole bat, witch, pumpkin, ghosties, ghoulies extravaganza.  

Also add another to the tree-hugging, plant-talking. barefoot-walking list.  Guilty as charged.

I think for many bible belt Christians, "pagan" conjures images of licentious badasses unfettered by their god's laws.

ROTFLLMAO!  I may not be terribly conservative politically on most subjects, but all the others fit me. :)  And yes, we have cats, and they are spoiled.

I have a black cat and a decorative broom. (No, she won't sit on it.. :D:) I also do the tree-hugging, nature worshiping thing. I don't keep up with the Joneses and my garden is a luscious mess. There's even a purported aphrodisiac growing there (lovage).
