Teen Girl Exorcism Squad
AKA The Charmed Ones.
http://abcnews.go.com/US/teen-girl-e...1#.T-nKYJFafir"We're just normal girls who do something extraordinary for God," Brynne said. "After seeing an actual exorcism in person, led by us, you will walk away with no doubt, whatsoever."

'You had to repay, good or bad. There was more than one type of obligation.
That’s what people never really understood.….Things had to balance.
You couldn’t set out to be a good witch or a bad witch. It never worked out for long.
All you could try to be was a witch, as hard as you could.'
Terry Pratchett 'Lords and Ladies'
Confuzzled and proud.

The Nightwalking Hedgehog
I make ceramic art and am currently taking commissions. Have dream altar ware you've always wanted, or a statue for a deity or spirit that you could never find? PM or email me and I'll see what I can do

Re: Teen Girl Exorcism Squad
Here's the scary thing for me: there are going to invariably be kids out there who are going to take this seriously. And they'll be inspired by it. And they'll try stuff like this on their own. We've all heard of exorcisms going wrong-- and we've all heard of witch hunts, old-school (Salem, etc) and modern (McCarthy -era finger-pointing). So, we know that there will be people like these girls who think "MY NEIGHBOR IS POSSESSED BY SATAN! Omg, let me mess with his property, his kids, etc, etc, etc."
This is the type of thing that has the potential to do SO much more harm than good. Sure, most of us know these three girls are either out for publicity or that the exorcisms aren't real, but there are folks out there who don't.
SO...seems to me if there IS a malevolent force out there wanting people to do more harm than good to one another, that force might very well take a free ride on the publicity these teens stir up.

Re: Teen Girl Exorcism Squad
The way the article is written sounds like a blurb for a hooky-spooky TV show. It also made it sound like what these girls do is kind of like what you do when you want to seem spooky, mysterious, and awesome.
Oh gods, and the video. This has got to be a pure publicity stunt. HAS GOT TO BE.
I giggled. I try to be open and respectful to other people and what they do, but I giggled. The "enforcer"? Seriously? I think this article could have been written a bit more carefully so it doesn't sound like these people are in the middle of an elaborate role play. Or, maybe they are . . .Brynne, 17, is the leader of the pack, the one the others call the "enforcer." She is home-schooled and a regular on the beauty pageant circuit. Savannah, 20, is known as the "compassionate one," a college student who likes to shop. Finally, there's Tess, "the middle man" because the others say this 17-year-old can play both good and bad cop. She also performs in local musicals.
Says "the middle man" playing "good cop, bad cop"."We're not proud of ourselves," Tess said. "We're humble. We're still learning."Leave your darkness with me, and I will make you shine.

No, Rev Bob Larson -- the father of one of them -- does. He claims to have performed 10,000 exorcisms and as they aren't free, I suspect makes a good living at it. Especially since, according to the article, one session is seldom enough.
Perhaps I should go into the exorcism business?Randall
