What Manner of Psychic Am I?

Greetings Everyone,

How are you all today? I have a bit of a problem. I've always been psychic (not the tarot card, palm-reading, crystal-ball-viewing kind. Just to get that out of the way). However it just occurred to me that I am not really that sure of what manner I am exactly. I'll explain to you the things that I "do".

I have extreme déjà vu, thanks to dreams. I rarely remember the dreams I have, but when I do, they unfailingly occur sometime in the future (sometimes even years). However I have a "déjà vu moment" at the very LEAST once a week. It's rather annoying at this point (lol).

I am extremely in-tune to the emotional atmosphere around me. This has gotten to a point where I can describe the feeling, taste, and sometimes even color of the general feeling of a room, even if I personally don't share the emotion (for example dread pulls at my stomach painfully, tastes bitter and dry, and is like a sandpaper-tan color. Anger is sharp, like a stab. Usually red tinged black, and tastes smoky etc). If I focus, I can even tune-in to a specific area, object, or person and do the above.

I am familiar with the spirit realms (though strangely not the dead). I can identify the energy signature of a certain kind of spirit, and if I am familiar enough with them, even individuals. I can sense their presence in a room, and occasionally communicate, things like that. Though I HAVE sensed the dead a couple of times, now that I think about it.

Sometimes (usually for someone else, like a friend) I will go into a meditative state and glimpse a part of the future. Not like a movie, but more like words and phrases run through my mind, combined with an image or two (which were blurry and non-specific). I've only done this once or twice, and the information was obscure and in an almost poetic form. It had proved accurate actually, though in a roundabout, beat-around-the-bush sort of way.

I also am somewhat empathic, however I am only in tune to people I am familiar with (friends and family for example) and the general feeling of a room. It is purely emotional however, so if someone trips and hurt themselves or something similar, I am unaffected (I may even laugh :P).

On a more mundane note, I am also highly intuitive, and "vibes" are child's play for me.

I THINK that's everything. Maybe. Sooo, given that information, can you tell me what kind of psychic I am? And perhaps how to hone my skills? I'd really like to grow in ability.

This shouts to me that you are empathic. People who are empaths have the ability to sense and experience the feelings of others. They are extremely sensitive to others feelings and are aware of their surroundings. A lot of people associate feelings and thoughts with colours, tastes, etc so this is usually normal BUT if you feel extremely sensitive to others feelings and it physically or emotinally affects you then you may be an empath.

How do you sense their presence? For example, can you smell their perfume in the air but no one else is around? Do you feel like someone has touched you but you are alone? e.g. your hair, cheek or hand? Does the room temperature suddenyl change? Or do you just generally feel like you are not alone? If you can communicate then these are known as mediums. Otherwise, you may just be extremely sensitive to spirits - some people are and some people aren't!

Does the ever feel draining to you or does somebodys feelings affect the way you feel? Empaths don't necessarily have to FEEL physical pain of somebody, but the emotional pain or feelings of others.

To me, you just seem very intuitive and highly sensitive. We don't always have to put names on things or give yourself a title.

Whoo... okay... lol... let's see here... to part 1, the deja vu, I actually put some stock in the belief of reincarnation and past lives, though I'm not too sure if I personally have had one or more than one. So.. i'm not sure about that.

Part 2 & Part 4(? already lost count haha), the empathic stuff, yes. I DO feel drained if there is a lot of emotion in the air, or if I spend too long in the company of others. I usually can stand being around a person or two for a few hours (long enough to stay the night, for example) but afterwards I absolutely MUST spend some time alone to return to normal. Usually at least a day, depending on how long I was with the person. I could be having a wonderfully fun time, with no major drama (though usually when I'm around, people feel the urge to tell me all their life's woes, ending in a sob fest and me awkwardly patting their back... *facepalm*) and yet if I don't spend time alone, I start getting really irritable and feel sick. It's actually the main reason why I didn't go to summer camps and things like that during school. Also, the amount of time I can go without feeling drained/sick is lessened the more people I am around. So, group outings for hours on end is not a good thing at all. And I can feel the emotions of those around me as if they are my own, yes, but the extent of that is dependent on how well I know the people I am around (the more I know them, the more I can feel what they feel, emotionally). And I can feel the general emotion of the room, if enough people are feeling the same or similar thing.

And as for the spirits, ahh... that's where it gets complicated. I can "see" them. As in, I can feel their energy signature or whatever, determine their location as it correlates through the Veil (if that didn't make any sense, which it probably didn't... if they are in an area of which the Veil is thin, which is a lot of places actually, OR if they are really trying to get someones attention, then I can feel where they would be in the room as if they were physical beings that could be seen by all, versus spirits that are actually in a parallel area behind the Veil). Now, after that, I can usually (but not all the time) actually see what they would look like physically, in my minds eye, if I go into a semi trance-like state (sort of like meditation while still being able to move around and whatever, instead of having to sit still and close my eyes and the whole bit). However, I usually don't see or feel the dead. I have once or twice, but they have never tried to communicate with me. This may be partially because I worship Anubis and pray often for him to deliver lost souls to their final resting places. Or perhaps not. I'm not sure. I DO see Guardians though. Those are simply what I call Spirit Guides who take a more permanent role in a persons life. Not necessarily actively working with the person 24/7, but always around, watching over them. Sometimes they let other Spirit Guides take the driver's seat and teach whom they are guarding a lesson they need to learn. Sometimes they adopt a different form, so they look different visually, yet their energy signature is the same. But only rarely have I seen a Guardian leave their charge. How I know this is because, as I become more familiar with a person, I recognize their Guardian's signature, and can later see their form. There are also Guardians without a current charge, though they are rarer and move along quickly. Other than THAT, I see elemental spirits and occasionally malevolent spirits. Essentially, if it isn't dead (in the sense of human souls that have passed on) then I can see it, if I concentrate enough. But I cannot smell or feel spirits or anything like that. Just see and communicate.

See what I mean? It's really weird. The more I concentrate on an ability, the stronger it becomes (at one point I was intrigued by spirits, which is why I learned so much, from my own ability becoming easier to master, and also from what communication with them has taught me).

Another added thing I forgot to mention before, I cannot see auras at all. However, I can focus a lot on the energy around me (perhaps my own aura?) and manipulate it. Usually this ends up with me visualizing a tentacle (or two. Or a dozen.) of energy moving forth (in one or more directions, respectively) and either A) touching another person and picking up their emotions or B) helping me better locate and see spirits in an area. This is a recent development. Around the time I got better at seeing spirits and the like. I don't know if you know or not, but what do you think that is exactly?

This is why I asked on this forum, because I am completely confused as to what it is I'm doing and how exactly I accomplish it. Just sensitivity to the Veil, or something else? I have no idea.
