To the second part: Excuse me? *I* am not making the bargain. I have no real interest in such, other than a vague curiosity as to why one would want to make a deal with the Devil in the first place, hence my reading and replying this thread. I don't claim to be an expert on the subject.

Anakin got more seduced by it and failed but Luke walks in the same vein. I think the big difference is Luke seemed to have stronger base of support than Anakin. I say Luke when you look to all his urge to get into the rebellion and putting that ahead if everything else. One of the things he's compared to Anakin for.

Different driving forces though. In some ways you see the whole of Anakins fears and despair in the lives of both Luke and Leia.

But this thread reminds me of both, always looking outward and in the physical for a sense of worth and vaule.

To your original question, if it can be done, it will take far more dedication than you seem willing to give. Like the masons lodge, it won't happen overnight. What did your friend think, join the lodge, and win a million dollars? The masons lodge will get you somewhere, provided that you are willing to put the effort into it. Those rich old guys, they own businesses, and they usually hire through the lodge if they can. But neither you nor your friend have the patience to work for something.

Now as far as me taking that deal. I worked for a long time in the construction trade. I quit, because I didn't enjoy it. I was on the road all the time, and was just plain sick of not seeing my family. I was making 4 times the money that I am making now working with my family.
