    Standing stone

I am thinking of doing a standing stone on the property. I'd like some runes, or other carvings. I am open for ideas, I prefer traditional.

It depends... What do you want with it? The types of stones we have found either have some kind of religious significance, give information about land, title and property or are there to honour a resent ancestor - usually it is a combination of all 3.

It would be more to honor the family, this land has been in our possession since the late 1700's. My uncle has an original land grant. I suppose that makes it both information about the land, and honoring family. The original idea came about because I wanted to build something permanent, that my descendants could see and touch, that would Honor the Gods. Information about the land and family seems very pertinent as well.
