I was a nut for the Asian Lupercalia scents and still have a full bottle of Tamano No Mae. I'm not very keen on her though.

It was a fun obsession but in a way I'm relieved my love affair with BPAL is over. Or at least my wallet is. Despite my spend I never did find anything there that was love and I think that's what ended it for me. I felt like a search for the grail.
I don't buy bottles. I join decant circles over at BPAL.org and Ravelry, and swap with other smelly-heads. I get to try a wide variety of stuff without spending money. The few bottles I do have I got in swaps or bought used for cheap.

I had fun with the decant circles but being based where I am, there wasn't the same choice as being based in the US. I don't regret my time there, it was fun to read all the perfume descriptions and haunt the post box daily for my next parcel. The imaginative basis for many of their scents ensures that everyone will find something that appeals.

I'm currently wearing Lovers With Rutting Cats.. Dug it out of the cupboard after reading this thread. I do believe the vanilla improved with age. It used to have a bit of animal skank about it, now it's just a sweet spicy fume.

I've found out about the existence of this 'Black Alchemy Labs' after spotting one of the groups at TC and researching it and now I am deadly curious about it:

    http://www.blackphoenixalchemylab.com/welcome.html

I'll quote the welcome page so others who don't know the Lab can understand what is:

I found more than few among their oil blends very inviting so I wondered... have you tried any of those? If yes, did you notice the blends having any peculiar homeopathic effects? Have you used any for ritual purposes?

Do you know other places online that offer similiar products?

I am very intrigued by this concept...

I never tried never buy BPAL myself but like reading about the scents. One of their links mentions their sister site Twilight Alchemy Labs where the magick oils are sold. I read that site also. I tend to make my own oils perfumes but I like to read about what is commercially available. Luck Mojo also sells oils some of the love oils people use as perfume. A place called Erzulies has also some interesting perfumes. Etsy is always a place to look for oils perfumes etc.

One of my favorite non-BPAL perfumers is there.

I know I mentioned this earlier in the thread, but it's worth checking out BPAL.org, especially considering how astronomical international shipping prices are right now. You can often find people in your area (or at least in the EU) to buy from/trade with.

Browsing Etsy shops for perfume oils I recently found
    Alkemia
    Violette Market
    Solstice Scents
(on the Fragrantica perfume forum there is a large thread on Alkemia perfume oils)
I am always looking for more shops with perfume oils
