    Wobbly teeth

    Hi all,

This is general parenting rather than specifically pagan. My daughter who is about to turn 6 has her first wobbly tooth. Although she's excited about getting her big teeth she also seems a bit traumatised by the experience and is complaining of some pain.

Does anyone have advice on how to help her through this?

    Thanks in advance,
    Rocquelaire

For the pain, you could give her some Tylenol and Motrin, since the gels and pastes really don't help when they get mixed with the saliva...

As for the trauma, there are some books in the children's section of the library that you could check out for her. Almost all of the cartoon characters have visited the dentist and lost a tooth at one point. A favorite of my sons' was Little Critter. Good luck!

Sorry, I can't help a bit. I'm just posting to offer some sympathy. I remember clearly being traumatized by loosing teeth, and I'm 45 years old. My kids on the other hand never blinked an eye, I was so not looking forward to them having the same experience that I did, and was very glad when they didn't.
