Question Druid Magic (and a Big Clusterflock of Questions)

I can't look up a ritual or spell without being directed to a clusterflock of Wiccan sites, and narrowing the search terms only brings up the sad fact that either such a magical working doesn't exist in Druidry or no one has yet bothered to record it on the InterWebs.

That said, are there Druid equivalents of shielding, grounding, centering? Do Druids write their own spells, or is it more of it being all about the intent? How do charms fit into Druidism? What about wards? Does anyone know where I can find a valid source on Druid rituals that actually work?

I know ADF has the Two Powers and other sorts of meditations which are groundings. You can find them here.

I can't remember what ADF says about magic in ritual...it's been awhile since I've picked up my Dedicant's Path notebook. There are some other druid-ish people on TC, however, and I'm sure someone else will have more of an answer than I do.

Are you referring to the ancient druids or to modern/neo-druids?

And how are you defining rituals that "actually work"?

    I second this. I love Greer's work.

Personally, I like the spiritual side of Greer's Druidry writings, but in terms of magic, it leans a little too much to the ceremonial side for me. That's part of why I don't do well with Revival Druidry--my connection isn't to the Masonic influences of the Druid Revival but to the gods and the myths of the ancient Celts, the ones Bonewits called paleopagan Druids.
