Don't teach your grandmother to suck eggs!
I do so have a life. I just live part of it online.

Re: It's my shift and I'm....
It is my shift today and I am humble before Brighid and all she has shown me in the last few years. I will be looking over some of my creative work and plan to either paint or create jewelry today.
I am excited that I found a free iphone app of a lit candle as we all know it isn't easy to have real candle at all times. The app is simple called "Candle" by iHandy The flame is pretty realistic.
That is all for now.
Blessed Be

Re: It's my shift and I'm....
It's my shift, and I forgot what happens when I don't sleep enough before my shift: Brighid hits me with Her giant invisible frying pan, slips me some spiritual Benadryl, whatever metaphor you choose -- She puts me in a coma for several hours.
So now I am looking at my candle and thinking this shift is for self-care; first sleep, now good food, and then working on my job because it needs to be done, and discipline can be self-care too.
I just hope She puts me in another coma early tonight so I can get up by 6am and not be late for class.
ETA: This is my 1000th post. I'm proud of this.Last edited by Morag; 29 May 2012 at 08:42 PM. Reason: added bragging

Re: It's my shift and I'm....
It's the end of my shift, and I have spent the day trying to be creative (largely by working on my rpg), cleaning (mostly laundry), trying to figure out where the random depressive funk came from (possibly Venus, Saturn, Neptune and Pluto in retrograde?) and wondering how to find the excitement for writing (and not just *having written*) that I used to have as a child and has since escaped me.
Not a lot of answers this shift, but a lot of things rolling around my head, which is good. I just need to clean out the cobwebs and maybe I can get these gears turning again!"I don't go anywhere without my mutated anthrax! 'Fer duck huntin." - Futurama
