Yay! Im very happy for you
Isn't it beautiful? Mine arrived on the last group keeping lol. I'm having an insanely busy day at work and I'm loaded with the cold. Think it's just my Brighid's cross and LED candle that are keeping me going. I hope Brighid doesn't mind if I crash tonight!

I'm sure she won't. Healing starting with yourself, remember?

I had some trouble finding a chain for the cross (it came with a cord, and the loop was that little bit too small for most of my chains), but finally managed to string it up and wear it. It's so light! And the little brother seems fascinated with it, which may or may not be a good thing!O quam mirabilis est inspiratio, que hominem sic suscitavit!~Hildegard von Bingen~

Re: It's my shift and I'm....
It's my shift on August 2nd, and I have no fewer than 9 candles lit right now. I also started a small fire (on purpose) in my burning...thing...that my friend made for me in a kiln ages ago. I burned last year's corn dolly (what remains of it, after the cat ate the rest) and stared into the fire for a while. I've also done some healing work, and my candles continue to burn.
Because of group flamekeeping I've gone through one pillar, one votive, and one taper candle in the past three days. Need to find another taper soon....
Yesterday I could do nothing but sit in bed, because my back was in such pain. I lit another candle and prayed to Brighid to ease my pain. And She did.
By the time the candle had burned down I was virtually pain free. (Virtually because, well, I'm pretty much never pain free. But I was able to get up and walk around and even eat something.)

It's my shift and I'm taking it easy as I am loaded with the cold and still have the migraine that's been hanging around for the last 2 months. I'm also getting to know my new DruidCraft Tarot Deck that arrived yesterday and looking through the ADF Dedicant Path manual which arrived at the same time.
Last night I was playing about with the cards and found one that represents Brighid for me (the princess of wands). As soon as I looked at it I new it was Her. Well I was sitting shuffling them and getting to know them and lost track of time. That particular card kept falling out if the deck and landing on my lap face up and about the fourth time I thought "ok, I see you, I've acknowledged you and checked your meaning in the book ANC I don't know what you're trying to tell me right now". I then looked up and realised that the sun had set and I had not lit my candle yet. Needless to say I thanked My Lady for the reminder lolRocquelaire - Handmade gifts and devotional items

It's my shift, and I'm feeling lazy, as in, I'd rather plan things than do them. I lit my candle, put on my new cross, sat in meditation... then went off to browse Amazon. I've been given a prepaid card with a tidy sum (not too much, but enough for a few books, at least), and figuring out how to make the most of it takes time. The candle was burning steadily and brightly all the while, though - on other occasions, the same candle can gutter or burn really low - so I assume that Brighid approves!

Re: It's my shift and I'm....
It's my shift, and it couldn't have been more needed - I might even extend it privately after the official shift end! Last night in true shift fashion any quiet time I wanted to have ready for meditation was swallowed up by well enough meant intrusions from friends trying to check on me since M is out of town from last Sunday through the 18th. Then any attempts at getting solid restful sleep were shot down by various members of my beloved "herd" (lots of pets - especially with some 5 week old kittens that are now very capable of climbing the baby gate to romp about the rest of the house). So now, having eaten and "caught up" with the rest of the world, I'm off for a cleansing shower and to try the meditation thing again. Failing that, some more spiritually centered activities.
Wish me luck!

) I'm going to spend extra time in meditation to attune to it.
