Books and/or websites on Flame Keeping
I've been doing some research on Flame Keeping, and it seems like something I would be very interested in, but I'm having a difficult time finding resources. Does anyone know of some good books or websites where I could study not only the origins of Flame Keeping with Brighid, but modern FKing as well? Or maybe there are some long time FKers here on the forums that could enlighten me. If that's the case then I could move this thread to a more appropriate board. Whatever would work best.
Many thanks in advance!

Re: Books and/or websites on Flame Keeping
My books aren't published yet?
Really, all there is is www.flamekeeping.org and the SIG here. It's a new thing.
and the one with Brighid is NOT the same as what you're calling the modern one - it's just a name overlap. They're two separate things, talking about different flames.
That said, I'd be happy to help with any questions/whatnot - and HOPEFULLY I will have my first book on the subject available for download soon.

Re: Books and/or websites on Flame Keeping
THANK YOU! See, I was rather confused. I've been looking at that website and I really like it. I like everything I read there. But when I try to do a general search it keeps brings up things about Brighid. I knew she was a flame keeper, but then so were several other deities. I'm finding myself kind of drawn to the flame keeping goddesses anyway (which is bizarre because I was sure I was done with deities. Perhaps deities are not done with me), so it's something I may choose to overlap. But I know from talking to you and from the website that I'm very much interested in modern day Fking.
For quite a while now I've been answering a series of questions in my personal journal. Everything from how I feel about being in large groups of people, to how I believe the universe was created. I just searched all over the internet and in books for these questions and began answering them. When I started, I thought it would just be a fun, and yet important project; something that would allow me to know myself better. Since then I've broadened my scope and begun asking some of these questions on my FaceBook page. I also ask some of these questions (ones that would be applicable) at a mood disorder group that I am president of and often facilitate.
Is all this a form of modern day FKing? I think maybe I've doing this for a while, or at least some aspects of it, and just wasn't aware it had a name.
Again, thanks very, very much!

You can give me ideas though... (I've actually done a lot of thinking about various art projects that incorporate crochet and books, FWIW, including actual crocheted books)
And yarn. I'll take whatever yarn you were going to send to her. I'm not a guru. I'll take care of it.
