    The Super Tuesday 2012 Thread

I'm hoping for the frothy excitement of a Santorum surge all over Ohio! The longer the Republicans keep their crazy on parade, the more likely it is that Pres. Obama will parade up Pennsylvania Ave. to a second term.

Gods forbid he wins (vs Obama), that frothy excitement will be sprayed over all of us. It hard not to bet on stupid these days, we elected Dubya to two terms after all, and Reagan being president was a late night running joke in the late 60s.

LOL. I think people are wising up to Santorum -- even the Republican hardliners. The Republicans really don't have anyone likely to set the general electorate on fire this year. Romney is about the best they can hope for -- everyone else tends to turn the general electorate off while turning the Republican hardliners on. However, I think even the hardliners are beginner to realize that Santorum as the nominee would have about as much change of actually winning as Goldwater in 1964 or McGovern in 1972.

But Reagan kept the Russians on the edge of their seats - they all thought he was a washed up cowboy who wanted one last bit of glory and had no problem "pushing the button" on a nuclear war. And Reagan played it to the hilt!

Well, the score card so far (as of about 11 PM Eastern time), according to CNN:

Romney takes Massachusetts (duh), Vermont, and Virginia
Santorum takes North Dakota, Tennessee, and Oklahoma
Gingrich (who?) takes his home state of Georgia
