Just curious: Why do you celebrate on February 12?

Possibly using the Julian Calendar like I do for this ritual date? However I will be celebrating on the 15th.

Does anyone else celebrate Imbolc on the 12 of Feb?

Good question, I've heard of a few celebrating it on the 4th which I think had something to do with that archaeoastronomy earth clock? http://www.archaeoastronomy.com/

Personally thinking of Imbolg astrologically doesn't work for me, as it's more seasonal. I could even understand an earlier date in January than later in February, but whatever works. Traditionally the festival would have been a few days long, based more around the lunar cycle and the birth of lambs, which have already been running around Ireland's fields....

Well on that note, Imbolg blessings to those with festivities to come!

I think of Imbolc as a season, but my primary celebration is from sunset on January 31 to sunset on February 2. That's mostly because I like being in sync with others who are celebrating around the same time.
