We had 103 trick-or-treaters this year. This is the most we'd had since I was in grade school in San Antonio. As I recall, we had high 30s or low 40s last year which we thought was a great turnout. I think the draw this year was the house down the street that always decorates big for Christmas -- they went all out for Halloween this year too.
We haven't had any yet; because of the freak storm apparently Trick or Treating has been postponed until Friday by the local gummint. To which my reaction is roughly: Huh? Trick or Treating is a government-sanctioned activity?

Given how a city in my area always moves Trick or Treating to the 30th when the 31st falls on a Sunday....

One car appeared to slow down at the end of our driveway, maybe because our porch light was on. Or maybe I imagined it. Pretty typical Halloween out here in the boonies.

Bright spot: no damned fireworks for once!

Eh? Fireworks? Did they move Chinese New Year, or something?

We only had one other visit besides the first kid; a group of maybe six little girls, with two or three big sisters (I think they were their sisters-they wanted candy, too).

People don't need much of an excuse to blow things up around here. Yee-haw.

I live in an apartment, and this year as well as the last 4 I have had zero kids. I have just quit buying candy. I know the moms at work will bring in the extra.

We had exactly zero here. The few kids that live in the neighborhood didn't go out this year. It was rather pathetic, as Halloweens go.

I count the candy before we start. Then I count what's left when were turn out the light and subtract. I'm too lazy to count people.

I do so love that cartoon. Fell in love with it again when I brought the DVD home this season.
My son would ask for the DVD thus: somethingsomething Puuunkin... somethingsomething Puuuuunkin. Cuter than anything I'd ever expected to hear.

Moving on... this Hallows eve was quite satisfying for us. The Boy wore his garden gnome outfit, but the baby Girl wore the hat & beard. I didn't count the number of kids, all I know was that we gave away 2 bags' worth of candy. This is our first year in the new house, and I didn't know what to expect, so I was pleased.

I was only pissed once, when one pack of maggots little darlings walked across my lawn. Grrrr....

After all the fesivities had ceased, and the wife & cubs had gone off to bed, I settled into my big leather man chair with a warm bowl of colcannon and a tall cold brew. Watched Hang 'em High on blu-ray. Great way to end the night.
