Re: Having a Patron that most don't
Basically the entire Maya pantheon. :T
Scholars still can't even decide on most of the details about it! I wouldn't say that I "work" with any of them or have any as patrons; as it is, I've still got one foot out the door, so my interaction is cautious. I have felt a definite pull toward an entity from the mythos, though: Itzamna, and two of his (probable/possible) aspects as a solar god and Jaguar god of the Underworld, the 'Night Sun'/lunar aspect, I think.
I really wish there was better information out there... I really don't want to try relying on UPG to fill in the enormous gaps at all right now. Even someone else's UPG would be better. x\
Maybe if I keep posting, someone else will become interested in the culture and pantheon and I'll have a study buddy to help me out... it's the ultimate plan! Muahaha!

Re: Having a Patron that most don't
Sobek is my Father. I've only come across a handful of people who work with Him. He's very gentle and quiet. He doesn't speak much. But He's a calming deep ancient presence. He feels very, very old. As old as the Universe. He's protective and 'mothering' to those who belong to Him. He also growls, and it's a sound that reverberates in the deepest part of the Earth. It hits the very deepest part of my soul. It's the most comforting sound I've ever heard.
I don't think I've found anyone else who works with the Mousai Titanides though, or many people who know who They are. They're the three Greek Titan Goddesses of Music, Aoide (Song), Melete (Practice), and Mneme (Memory). They are also known as the Elder Muses. They're somewhat agendered/bigendered and/or abstract to me, but many of my Gods appear to me that way, so I think it's just how I perceive Deity. I also don't perceive Mneme as a form of Mnemosyne either, but again, that's UPG (unverified personal gnosis).
I hadn't intended to work with Them at all, but I was writing a story about the Muses, but I've never been drawn to the Olympian Muses at all, and when I discovered these three, They fit the story I wanted to tell, so I used Them. And then They started hanging around and now I have Them on my altar. I'm pretty sure They began hanging around because I know who They are, and I know Their names (even if I can't quite pronounce them properly). I was the only one who was listening. Only the Mousai Titanides and Amun have approached me first and asked to be friends, rather than the other way around.
They're a beautiful presence though. Aoide sings to me all the time. Mneme sometimes sings too, though I more often get dreams instead. Melete communicates with rhythm and drumming. They also speak together in song as one voice as well as separately.
Everything I know about Them is UPG because there's practically nothing out there on Them, as far as I can find. Nothing bar a short paragraph or two, if I'm lucky, and certainly no UPG with regards to offerings and preferences to go on. I'm pretty much working on instinct, but They are aware of this, and of my inability to speak Greek, so They're willing to accommodate this as we get to know each other.Arden Star a.k.a Sobekemiti ('Sobek is my Daddy') || Syncretic Queer Graeco-Roman Kemetic Polytheist

Re: Having a Patron that most don't
My Patron is Aphrodite, and I don't find many people that worship Her as a Patron. I mostly get the uncomfortable, "yeah, but what about the, you know... the... (whisper) sex thing? I have absolutely no problem with Her sexual aspects, in fact, I most closely identify with that. I'm certain that is why She chose me. To be honest, I have this feeling like I was chosen when I was much younger, but I had to reach maturity before I could accept Her.

Re: Having a Patron that most don't
Poseidon is one of my patrons -- I haven't come across many followers of him. In my experience, he's a very compassionate and feeling god. Not saying he's "warm and fuzzy," but definitely not what I expected based on his myths. Such a magnificent and gracious god. I'm grateful he "thwapped" me!

I have met a handful of others also dedicated to Her though not a ton.
