Re: Altar & Shrine inspiration & pics
I was rather unsurprised to find that, although my deity/ies changed, my altar setup hasn't. I have replaced the images with icons of Christ the Teacher and the Virgin of Kazan, but everything else remains the same. I'm looking forward to getting a diptych shrine (and would welcome suggestions on whether to buy the painted or gilded version).

Re: Altar & Shrine inspiration & pics
Here are two pics of mine. It's currently two shelves in my wardrobe: One for the stuff I actually want out at the time, and the one above for my books and spare stuff. At the moment it's looking quite Kemetic, because I have my collection of Bast statues out, but I have a lot of Norse influences as well - so sometime I'll post another picture when I'm in a different mood.
The pics are both quite big, so I'll link to them:

Re: Altar & Shrine inspiration & pics
My Lammas 2011 altar at our old place (where I had very, very little room) before I started my ritual.

Our altar at our Imbolc 2012 open celebration. We honored Brighid and awoke the primordial snake (hence the candle drawings, Brighid's cross and crystal).

My current altar of which I should make a better picture for you guys but it's dark and our cat was so cute. The vase holds some Forthesia branches and my Athame lies in front of the candle. You can't see it now, unfortunately. In the cauldron is wool.

Re: Altar & Shrine inspiration & pics
Here is a picture of mine. I haven't gotten around to 'dolling' it up with a cloth to cover up the bland wood but it is a shrine/altar none the less.
Also, it isn't just one it's two combined so there are pagan and buddhist things! That and my totem animal and my "guardian Gargoyles" Leonardo and Da Vinci ( Since my altar is at the head of my bed [That is also a buddhist aspect] My gargoyles needed to be there.)
